JOURNEY
When I was 6 years old, my dad gave my brother and me the gift of a construction toolbox for Christmas. That gift instilled a passion for carpentry and craftsmanship in Andy and me at an early age. Little did I know that throughout all the years, that passion would carry on.
That spark that had been instilled in me led me to start my own construction company with a buddy of my mine when I was in highschool. After Westmont College, my brother and I began working together in Orange County and were soon given the opportunity to do a condo project in Santa Barbara, which led us to moving our families to this amazing place that we made our home.
Our partnership evolved to building tract homes and a few years after that, my first spec home. I fell in love with the process of creating a home from the ground up and started buying property, building homes, and then selling them (and sometimes keeping them for my own as well!) while creating custom homes for clients. My brother and I began to be approached for several commercial jobs and I realized that my heart was in the design and development of custom high-end homes so made the difficult decision to go out on my own and exclusively focus on residential high-end homes throughout Montecito and Hope Ranch. I moved to the Santa Ynez Valley from Montecito in 1999 and carried on building high-end ranches in the Valley in addition to continuing my work in Montecito and Santa Barbara. I currently work in Santa Barbara, Montecito, and the Santa Ynez Valley and enjoy developing, creating, and designing with clients and for property of my own. It’s just as fun today if not more so than when I began. I love what I do!
